2019 SCGA TWILIGHT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP

GOOSE CREEK GOLF CLUB

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2019

ARRIVAL AND REGISTRATION:

Registration will be in front of the Golf Shop and underneath the SCGA tent. Registration will take place from 12:30-1:30 p.m. All players must meet at the golf cart staging area for announcements at 1:45 p.m.

FORMAT:

All players will compete in an 18-hole Net stroke play round. Players will compete using 100% of their Course Handicap based upon their Current Handicap Index as of September 1. The best 4 scores from each team will count toward the team's total score.

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:

Starting holes and pairings will be emailed to players and posted online at scga.org in advance of the tournament. This is a 2:00 p.m. Shotgun start.

Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group.  Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 6-3a of the Rules of Golf.  For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.  Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time.  Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.

PACE OF PLAY:

The Tournament Committee at each competition will determine the maximum allowable time each group is permitted to play the stipulated round.  This time will be posted on each player’s scorecard and each player is expected to maintain a pace faster than the maximum allowable time.  The stipulated round is complete when the last player in the group completes play of the final hole and the flagstick is replaced. Please be sure to keep up with the group in front of you. Click here for more information on the SCGA Pace of Play Policy.
